Just a practice sketch for my Sky English version team, Sunset. I'm already used to drawing Meowth, but Treecko is a bit different... I think I'll just cop out and stick to having Treecko's head resemble a Yoshi's when I draw it. Boy, that really takes me back! XD

For the rest of my f-list (or any lucky PMD fan who comes across this) that isn't a part of the (admittedly tiny) community pokedungeonfans, I got a couple presents for ya. :B

Just finished watching the Violinist of Hameln TV series.

WHAT THE SHIT. Running away to the manga and not looking back. >_< At least the music was good.

I decided to take some pics of the group so far. In this game, similarly to DQ3, you get to make your own party members via Ruida's Tavern. You can customize them based on class and appearance, and as for the variety of features on their appearance... well, you'll see some of it here.

It's music from DQ9! :D! Just a couple of tracks, though. First one's the regular battle theme, second is a mid-boss theme. As one Nico commenter put it, the latter is very DQ2-esque.

These were ripped by someone else, not me. The someone else is neko800, who also has a Youtube account. Hopefully there'll be more to add soon. :>

Aside from DQ9, I've been playing Kaeru no Tame ni (For the Frog the Bell Tolls). Remember that one guy in Link's Awakening with all the frogs in his house? Yeah, he's from that game. It's hilariously awesome, by the way. :D

I'll be gone at Lake George, NY to hang out with some insanely cool people, and I won't be back until the 16th of June. If there is any internets at all there, I won't be using it to check LJ, so... seeyas!

PMD Sky announced for the US

I knew it would happen anyway, but YES!! Now I only hafta wait 'til summer's over to share the utter fansquee that is the special episodes with my PMD-playing friends! ;o; This announcement makes me feel...

...But the true victory, especially for people who played PMD Time/Dark, won't come until they've played up to a certain point in one of the special episodes. Once they do, they'll join the rest of those who know what we've won.

Okay. Since I haven't been able to get a job yet (there's a lot of reasons I could go into, but I'll leave it at "no place ever calls back, and it makes me feel slightly inadequate :<"), I've been doing whatever I can to keep my brainmeats active and the insane lonelies away. Watching animu, keeping up with the One Piece manga, drawing stuff, watching more animu, writing stuff, drifting in and out of various fandoms, writing original stuff (!), and slowly poking away at a storyline for the RPG project I'm collaborating on with my bro. Oh, and playing video games, can't forget that. :D

My latest major foray into vidja gaemin' was Dragon Quest Monsters 1 of the 1+2 remake for PSX, which I threw a few pictures of into my LJ gallery. I have an outline written out for a planned storyplay of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky, which I get to start playing/writing on next week. And speaking of PMD, I've been commissioned by someone to make a scanslation of the PMD2 manga in CoroCoro! Well, it's only "commissioned" so far as "they asked me to do it, and I said okay". I didn't ask payment for it, and right now I'm more worried about doing a good job on the project, rather than what I might get out of it. Maybe I could do more of this in the future. :B

The original writing-type stuff involves the world-building of Someplace, Aia, and various other planets in my original fantasy series. I'm also fleshing out characters who've been around for ages and REALLY need it. I'm fiddling with the idea of posting various info on that sort of stuff.

As for today, I made myself chocolate-chip cookies (the ass-kicking kind), and finished off my YYH fic binge from the other day. So before I go to bed, I'll watch the second YYH movie (now in .ogm format, instead of the multiple flvs I ripped from Nicovideo). Mmm, badassery.

All things considered in this crazy world of ours, for me right now, life is good.

I got Oswan last night to scratch my itch for Digimon games. There's only like 3 games that came out in English for Wonderswan, but I went ahead and got Chopper no Daibouken anyway. It plays like an action-RPG, very cute so far. :> I'll hafta poke around to find out what all the commands do first though.

Yanno 'bout that whole Strikethrough thing? LJ freaking out over pr0n fanfiction and fanart? Hoho, barrel o' laughs for everyone! And Boldthrough, that too. Ya might not've heard as much about that one, or even the first one. Chances are excellent that nobody on even your friend's friends list got banned, or even knows why them thar "fandom" people set up such a fuss.

Well thanks to a new, supremely retarded development, you could get banned even if you've never posted anything fannish or pornish on your LJ, ever. Why, you ask? Well if you can't read the entry I linked to there for some reason: links.

Yes. All of us have linked to something in our journal entries in the past. In this wide internets, links don't always stay good. Domain names expire, get forgotten, and subsequently become ad pages full of popups and even, yes, PORN! :D LJ thinks that we should check through allll our links in our entries, be they a day, a year, or five years old, JUST to make sure they didn't turn into rotten ebil child pr0nz while we weren't being paranoid vigilant happy little fairies.

So in short, you can get put on the party van for ancient links gone bad, because it's totally our fault our past selves weren't thinking of teh childrinz. Fuck that, LJ.

Right now the two most popular choices to jump ship to are the S.S. Greatest and the Insane Buroggu-gou. Both of 'em offer 100 icons with the basic free setup.

In the meantime, I'll weather this place out for a while longer, but I'm preparing a spot in the corner of Insane-gou's galley, near the pantry. If you've taken up quarters there, feel free to friend me.
